Unforgettable ; Trajectories

Carrie Wells remembers everything except the face of her sister’s murderer. Which makes Carrie a super sleuth and the best detective but it also makes her haunted. Emotionally traumatized by her sister’s murder when she was a child Carrie started to remember everything but what she has blocked out. And her entire life has been about pursing the memory of her sister’s killer.

This lead Carrie into police work where she became a fantastic homicide detective but she continued her obsession with her sister’s killer until her partner and lover, Al, closed the case.

Carrie’s Mom has Alzheimer’s and can’t remember but has moments.

When the show opened Carrie was counting cards rather successful and out of police work. Her neighbor was murdered and she is a material witness. And much to her surprise her former partner and lover Al is in charge of the investigation. Carrie works with Al to eventually solve her neighbor’s murder and she starts to remember. Her detective work begins to heal her memory. And once Carrie becomes a consultant for Al she is granted full access to all of the police files and technology she needs to track her sister, Rachel’s, killer down.

With each resolved case Carrie gains a bit of that one lost day in which he sister was murdered. Her Mother Alice recognizes a sketch Carrie made of the man’s face who she believed murdered her sister.

But her relationship with Al has changed while Carrie remembers everything about their relationship Al has moved on. And Carrie has to deal with his new girlfriend.

So she is a bit distant from Al even though they work together.

While at a crime scene there are shots fired. There are ten shell casings but there were eleven shots.

The show opens with Carrie gambling again and of course winning. It turns out to be a police raid which Carrie barely escapes.

Al calls Carrie to go to a crime scene in which there was a shooting which no one claimed to see.

They think it is a Dominican Republic gang shooting.

The victim was an informant on the Dominican gang.

A guard accidentally kills a child reaching for his cell telephone.

And Al busts Carrie for gambling which she explains it is supplemental income for her Mother’s nursing home bills.

A gang reformers, Jim Claybourn, child, JJ, becomes friendly with the Dominican gang and JJ is given a gun which killed the victim when he Father finds out he wrestles his son for the gun and is accidentally shot.

Al lectures Carrie in her extra curricular activities and there seems ot be sparks between Al and Carrie when agent Cortez shows interest in her romantically.
