Roasted Pumpkin for the Fall
Since you already know how to pick and clean a pumpkin for Halloween, you can also make your family pumpkin for dinner. You will be how easily you can could get your family to eat their vegetable when you presented with their own little pumpkin. And it is shockingly simple to make. There are several recipes that I will include in videos below but I want to give you the simplest version first of the recipe first.
Clean your pumpkin and remove all the seeds and gutts. Pour 1/2 a cup of maple syrup in the empty pumkin and make certain the syrup coats the whole inside of the pumpkin. Add a couple of teaspoons of cinnamon and tablespoon of butter.
Preheat the oven at 400 degrees. Cook our pumpkin in a shallow pan with a bit of water in the bottom for about 40 minutes.
When you take the pumpkin out remove the lid and scrap the pumpkin pulp off the sides and down into the middle and mix all of the ingredients together.
It is a wonderful vegetable that quite frankly is easy to make and tastes like pumpkin pie without the crust.

There are even pumpkin recipes which you can stuff them with roasts but for the purposes of this hub we will keep the recipes for the novice. In the above recipe I would fill those warm pumpkins with maple syrup, cinamon and butter as a side dish to a roast. However I would reserve the seeds for the kids and I will show you how to roast pumpkin seeds at the end for a healthy treat for the children at the end of this hub .
