Obamacare for Autism

First I waited a day or two before writing this hub so I could gain some perspective. And I went through the Obamacare law. I doubt the correct constitutional issue was raised with the Supreme Court. Is it legal to tax people for healthcare…well I would say it probably is. The constitutionality of Obamacare doesn’t lie in whether it is legal to tax people for healthcare but whether it is legal to exclude all people with Autism from receiving healthcare. I would think it is completely unconstitutional to discriminate against a segment of the population which is growing at epidemic proportions in healthcare legislation. In the simplest terms it is discrimination that is taxpayers funded. That should have been the argument infront of the Supreme Court but this country’s morals have declines so severally no one notices discrimination amongst such populations any longer.

No if the provision in the healthcare bill banned treating people with AIDs we would all hear about it to no end but since it discriminates against one of the largest growing populations in this country everyone seems to be okay with this provision. The only thing I noticed in the Obamacare Healthcare plan for children with Autism was Behavioral Assistants. Wow, is that all this country knows about Autism is that it is a behavioral disorder? Is that all our president knows? It is like the White House correspondence dinner all over again which was a major gaff.

I spoke to one of my Democratic friends. I actually have a lot of Democratic friends and they are pleased because those with pre-existing conditions can get healthcare. I told her she already could through exchanges which are cheaper anyways or through the business they run. It is actually more expensive to pay for individual policies.

She said, “Now the rich will finally have to pay their fair share.” And I told her she needed to stop watching the television. Is Congress going to be forced to pay for their health insurance as well as the secret service and the executive branch? God knows they can afford it! No! It is me the single Mom who has a medically complex child with a rare disorder who is paying the most. Let see I have to pay for Medicaid now. I have to pay for my son’s medicines even though he is medically complex and has Autism. It is the weakest and poorest who get hit the hardest with this healthcare bill.

Second, I want to hear a solid plan from this administration as to how they are going to help children and families who have been alone in the trenches for over a decade with Autism without any assistance from their government. What is Obama going to do to help these families? Because Autism is the biggest challenge this country faces in the next decade. It isn’t economy but Autism.

Third, why didn’t the Supreme Court consider the constitutionality of excluding a major segment of the population from Healthcare in the Obamacare Bill? When did discrimination become legal in this country? I thought we were passed all that when we elected Obama. Why would he who has suffered under discrimination turn right around and discriminated against children with medical complexities and autism? It is shameful.

Fourth, I was told by my Democratic friend that since a Democrat was in office they would have more social programs to help families with children with special needs. Really? It seems to me that whomever is in office only knows how to stick it to the special needs population and their families. This started back with Hilary Care and has been down hill ever since. This is not a partisan stabbed as Bush was only good for the mental health population and no one else.

Finally, I warned my friend that the quality of healthcare is disastrous in this country due to pharmaceutical companies dictating one bad study after another. It is the drug companies that run medicine and their influence was suppose to end in 2008 when all the lobbyists were suppose to be kicked off K-Street. Instead K-Street is booming and George Clooney has moved in. Quality healthcare is impossible to find and this bill is nothing more then a major hand out to insurance, drug and medical interests.

So the poorest people receive yet another flat tax in an already over inflated economy which will stall growth even further. That tax credit isn’t going to help those of us who can’t work pay for the government dictated healthcare plan. It is sad our leaders are heartless, soulless and so greedy. It really is time for a change in DC. But not just at the Congressional level but also in the Supreme Court as well as the Executive Branch. Until every last person in DC reaps the consequences of their behavior there will never be change in DC. Let all of them have to live without the secret service protecting them the rest of their lives and then let’s see the decisions they make when they realize they’ll have to fend for themselves.

Obamacare is discriminatory, beyond behavioral health, it excludes children with Autism. The language was struck at the last moment. How can Obama run for a second term when he has absolutely no clue about managing Autism in this country. Not that Mitt has an idea either but the largest grow demographic in this country is Autism and who would vote for a president who discriminates against these children.

What the White House doesn’t read Time Magazine and they want a second term?
