Never Change! I Love All of You!!
Never Change! I Love All of You!!
The Patron of the Arts contest is at an end.
I have made many new friends and many entries I did submit.
Thank you all my dear friends.
Admittedly, my political satire poems were a bit cutting in wit.
But now it is done.
My chance is slim to win.
On December 2, 2011 we will find out who won.
But at least I ventured in.
And so many talented writers I have met.
But what is more important is that we are closer as a community.
We are all winners and the outcome I do not fret.
And all the camaraderie has created more Hubpages Unity.
So whether your entered or read the writings.
If you didn’t enter next time you will.
This contest has made our community more inviting.
If for nothing more then for the friendships and the Patron of the Arts contest thrill.
So for a while I bid Adieu.
We are international with a lot of range.
Deeply, I’ll miss all of you.
I love all of you!!! NEVER CHANGE!!
Inspiration
Everyone in this contest whether a reader, writer or judge are my motivation. And the apparent effects it has had on the Hubpages community as it has brought everyone closer together.
And while this certainly isn’t my best poem I am still entering it as it is my closing poem. For my buddy Lord, I think this is the last one.
For me to be in the contest was a wonderful experience and honestly I didn’t even know poetry when I began. I studied and followed it and then I tried free form for the last few days although not daring enough to write a poem that doesn’t rhyme yet.
I know this contest has brought me closer to a lot of the writer’s on hub pages and made me push myself beyond what I thought I would be able to do as a writer. The example beginning I never thought I would write poetry and yet here I am doing it. And in some instances pretty good poems and in others just regular poems. I seem to have a knack for political satire poems. Which to me are just poems and not will mal intention but I understand they may not be taken that way.
And while I would love to win something I have seem the field of contestants and they are a very talented lot. So I have no delusions about winning. My goal was to be read. But it would still be nice to win.
And I have won. I have been read, I am closer to a lot of other really talented writer’s around the world. And I have a lot of experience writing on Hub pages now.
So I am a bit sad the contest is over. I wish it wasn’t but all good things must come to an end, even contests otherwise how would we ever have a winner?
But I have won in so many ways just participating in this contest that I recommend everyone participate in at least one contest. And truly I love all of you and would not want any of you to change.
