Miss Mary Sunshine

I remember when I signed up for Hubpages and I read the advice in the learning center which stated, “Be positive” and for the most part I have been. But this country is going through an extraordinary time in which not to mention what is happening is a glaring omission. Sometimes mit is more important to be realistic than positive. I would say that being positive without realism is delusional. Delusions which are supported by mass media illusions.

So I considered about writing an article about:

Poverty: It Makes You Thin

Hunger Inspires Your Children To Eat Swamp Cabbage: Good Eats

Rodents and Bugs are Great Aphrodisiacs.

Homelessness: Who Needs Walls?

Gas: So Expensive They Will Soon Charge For Farts!!

Clothes Are For Losers With Ugly Bodies

Toothless: A Savings on Tooth Paste

Medicine: It Is Only For Suckers

Starvation: That Will Lower Your Cholesterol!!

Spinning Disatser

But you can’t really spin the economics of a collapse of a country even if you are Miss Mary Sunshine.

So then I thought of these articles looking ahead…

The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow And You’ll Only Be Taxed 50% For it.

World War III: That is One Way to Swindle I Mean Dwindle Down the Population.

Our economic situation is very similar to pre World War II in which we are very similar if not identical to Germany. I will spare you my debate that World War I and World War II were really the same war in which Germany was economically wounded so badly it had to cannibalize Western Europe. A cannibalization which lead to the ethnic cleansing of it’s own people. In essence Germany was left so poor after World War I it had to fight World War II. Both World Wars were caused by collapsed trade agreements. We are here at that same point now. If the USA tries to continue in the trade agreements which only benefit a very small portion of society at the expense of the rest of the country we will not longer have a country but a feudal empire.

Media Spin on 9/11

Spinning Our Fate

Spinning the illusion works under the premise of misdirection and individuals' need for escapism however there are too many constant daily reminders that our economic future is exceptionally bleak. Hungry which is a basic instinct overrides all other sense. There is no escaping the pain of hunger. Delusion which is the other psychological mechanism being exploited is to feed the masses who are desperately hoping of a great economic future. But for anyone to maintain this delusion enough to override the pains of hunger is to venture into insanity.

So then I put on my Ms. Mary Sunshine hat and I tried to think of positive lovely articles to write in these times.

World War III: Maybe They Will Nuke DC!!

Ethnic Cleansing: White Boys Beware

Unemployment: A Great Excuse to Be Lazy!!!

Pull Yourself Up By the Boot Straps!! That Is Of Course When You Can Afford to Buy Boots!!

Ethnic Cleansing: If We Start With Government First Then We Can End There!!

World Wars: A Good Way to Get Out of A Bad Deal

World War III: William, Kate Move and Little George To America!!!

Tony Blair is Already Here!!

Politician's Will Not Do Anything!

Miss Mary Sunshine's Positive Points

My point is I could have written all of these really positive articles and try to spin my readers away from what is really going on in the world. I write many positive articles that do just that. But it would be insensitive and even crass to do it in such serious times.

We have very serious problems with people who claim to be our leaders in this country and the next line up isn’t looking so good either.

Barack Obama wanted change and I submit to you he is about to get it in more ways than even he could have imagined. Leadership starts outside of DC. Not inside the beltway. It begins with you and me having a very candid and frank conversation about where our country is headed, how to address many of the problems it faces, and how to send a message to DC their days are numbered if they do not get their act together quickly.. We must abandon escapism and have no more delusions about what our government has and continues to do to us. We must see right through the illusion that they are in control. We are on our own. The American people have a better handle on how to run the country then the fat cats of Washington, D.C. where power, illusion and influence are fleeting.

Because it isn’t about straw men pretending to lead this country but about real people who make this country great. It is the everyday people who would never be so greedy or openly criminal. The people who would never bomb anything over a commodity, who live on scraps thrown at them each day, and share those scraps with the neighbors for whom they care so dearly. Leadership is outside of DC and the moment everyone realizes that the better for everyone. So Miss Mary Sunshine will have to bring the positive to her other articles and let the politics be frank and candid. So let Miss Mary Sunshine share her positive take on politics in the United States of Americaas she nis positive it is a complete criminal organization in which the people of this country have been abandoned and neglected to the point of collapse. I am positive it is only for the wealthy who don’t contribute to the government. Each and every day I become more positive that if we do not turn it around we will descend into a civil war while engaged in World War III. And I absolutely positive that trying to spin into a beautiful regale of our American existence would be a disservice to my audience, readers and history.
