Holiday Gift Ideas for Your Boss.
Gifts for Your Boss
If you are lucky enough to have a job this year and subsequently a boss then you are in all probability in the market for a gift for our boss for the holidays. This can be tricky unless you know their religion and besides on hubpages sex, politics and religion are almost always bad subjects to discuss. They are considered rude. So you may not know what holiday your boss celebrates.
So I will try to make some creative suggestions for gifts for your boss for the holidays that are under $50. It is your boss after all so a nice gift is very appropriate for this time of year but don’t necessarily expect anything in return. Jobs are still hard to come by in this economy and most bosses aren’t giving out gifts. Give but do not expect anything in return and you maybe pleasantly surprised.

Gift for Your Colleague
When I worked at the University it was Secret Santa and we had a price limit of $5. It was more for morale then anything else and we were rather creative with our gifts under $5 dollars. We could be we had University resources at our disposal. But in all probability you are in a regular work environment and will need to give that little gift that is personal enough to let them know you care but not too costly. If you have to buy for more then one colleague buy them all the same thing and spare yourself the headache in advance.
I prefer Secret Santa so the gift giving doesn’t get so out of hand. And who you give to is not the person you are necessarily receiving from but if you are not lucky enough to participate in that then limit it.

In Conclusion
Buying gifts are always difficult especially in the work environment. It is important you buy something for your boss. It is necessary. And in the situation where there is the social expectation to buy for colleagues it is thoughtfulness over price tags. For instance I once work with a colleague who claimed their feet were always cold. I didn’t understand as I was from the south and the cold didn’t bother me. And yet every single day I heard about my co-workers cold feet. So for Christmas when I had to buy, I bought a pair of wool socks. They were relatively inexpensive but my co-worker felt as if she had been given a treasure. I think it wasn’t the gift but the assistance with helping her deal with her cold feet. After that I never heard a complaint about her feet again. Had I known the socks would have been so effective I would have bought them months before and given them to her. Christmas affords us the opportunity to show people we have heard their needs and provide a little something to give them comfort.
