Fringe: Wallflower

Fringe’s final episode will air January 12, 2011. Because Fringe was pre-empted by the World Series the finale was pushed to January 12, 2012. So this is the prelude to the Finale. I am later covering it so for all my Fringe buddies I am covering it now.

Summary;

Very clearly as suspected earlier Peter is in the wrong universe. He is not in the universe he left. And he is desperate to get back home. In this Universe Walter wants nothing to do with Peter. Olivia and Peter have no chemistry between them. Peter is for lack of a better words in the custody of the Fringe Division.

Both Olivia and agent Lee have insomnia. Olivia also takes medication. They have difficulty dealing with the knowledge of everything they have seem in the Fringe Division. Astrid is a field agent while in the other universe she spent a lot of time in the lab baby sitting Peter. Astrid is also in therapy.

The Statute of Liberty is Bronze instead of green which means they are definitely in an alternative universe.

They are investigating a case which a man, U-gene, seems to have albinism. Massive Dynamic experimented on a child with genetic alterations. Those experiments saved the boy’s life but gave him the ability to be invisible.

Peter is trying how to get back into his alternate universe and time line. Peter admits his love for the alternate Olivia and universe.

U-gene is trying to give himself pigment by killing other people and taking there pigment. U-gene is killing himself by taking the pigment. U-gene finally gets to meet the woman he loves before he dies.

In the end we find out in this universe Nina sharp is drugging Olivia.

Format of Fringe and Review:

Each week there are two story lines. The first is Peter discovering he is not in his universe and he tries to got back home. The second is the case that the Fringe Division is working on. While both plot lines seem to be intertwined how they are connected hasn’t exactly been revealed to us. I guess we will have to wait until January 12, 2012 for all the answers to be revealed.

I am trying to be a sport about the season finale of Fringe getting bumped to January but it has screwed up the codes as well. Most shows also don’t end in the Fall but in May. I will just cross my fingers and hope for the best for the Spring.
